A new documentary exploring the dangers facing journalists called Killing the Messenger: The Deadly Cost of News, asks survivors of violent attacks and kidnappings to tell their stories directly. Journalists working in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan, or the midst of the drug war in Mexico, relate harrowing tales of surviving bombs, sniper fire, days in captivity, and the stories of their fallen fellow journalists.
