Last week, a powerful storm struck several European countries leaving forty seven people dead. The storm, which was Europe’s deadliest in eight years, affected several European countries from Britain to the Ukraine. Such violent storms will become more frequent according to an authoritative report to be released by the world’s leading experts. The Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predicts that the effects of global warming will occur faster and will be more devastating. As global warming activists warn of the peril of ignoring climate change, renowned physicist and energy technology expert Joseph Romm has authored a new book offering solutions to the looming crisis of global warming. By combining scientific fact with searing political analysis, Romm argues that Americans must demand more action from their government to curb global warming as he warns we have, at best ten years to reverse course. California’s energy commissioner Arthur Rosenfeld said of Hell and High Water, “If you buy only one book about global warming, make it Hell and High Water. Joe Romm has put together a highly readable explanation of our climate predicament and the solution.â€
