Now starting his fifth year in office,body-builder-turned-actor- turned-Governor-of-California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has had quite a political career. His movie fans were overjoyed while others were simply embarrassed when he first announced his bid for Governor during the 2003 recall election. But where and when did it all begin? A new documentary by Dan Cox, Running with Arnold, traces the trajectory of Arnold Schwarzenegger from a small Austrian town into Sacramento. The documentary is narrated by Alec Baldwin, who wanted to pull his voice from the documentary after realizing that it juxtaposes images of Nazi rallies with Schwarzenegger. Baldwin’s voice remains, and Running with Arnold makes a highly anticipated theater debut today.
The first Israeli-Palestinian peace talks of the Obama administration are set to begin – we’ll look at what’s in store.
