Mayor Villaraigosa on the Elections, the Democratic Party and Political Activism

VillaraigosaMayor Antonio Villaraigosa has been very busy this election season even though he’s not running for office. He’s been stumping for Senate incumbent Barbara Boxer as well as other Democratic members of Congress in various states. He traveled recently to Colorado to support Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet against his Republican challenger Ken Buck. He has also rallied for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada and Representative Steny Hoyer of Maryland.

Personally, I have no interest in hearing Villaraigosa (unless he’s confronted with all the #$%^ he’s done). If I did, I’d listen to NPR or some other outlet–and give them money I can’t afford to give.

There are so many voices that deserve to be heard and such little air time. Why devote valuable time to someone who’s screwing people over?

Sorry if I come across as mean-spirited or disrespectful (I don’t want to). I can’t even think about Villaraigosa without getting upset.
