This is the lowest rating any president has had on the day of the big speech since President Nixon&#8217;s 1974 State of the Union address. With his characteristic non-focus and double speak Bush addressed or non-addressed several issues. Including the economy, healthcare, immigration, oil addiction, and of course the war on terror. As always, Bush left the audience with a pithy doublespeak soundbite, stating that, &#8220;free people are not drawn to violent and malignant ideologies, and also stated that, &#8220;economy is on the move&#8221;.
