Last Saturday, more than fifty anti-war demonstrations took place across the United States in opposition to the ongoing war in Iraq. In the nation\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s capital, hundreds of thousands converged in the largest of all the anti-war demonstrations over the past weekend. Despite the public display of disaffection with the war in Iraq and despite a recent CNN poll suggesting that the majority of Americans oppose President Bush\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s troop surge, the mainstream corporate media continues to narrow the debate on Sunday morning talk shows. According to Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, various networks on Sunday morning presented roundtable discussions that leaned to the right and failed to include guests reflective of public opinion regarding Bush\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s troop surge plan. None of the Sunday talk shows included any anti-war activist leaders nor any of the nine senators who have sponsored a bill to block funding for the Iraq war\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s escalation.
