Kevin MacDonald, a noted white supremacist and psychology professor at Cal State Long Beach, recently became the director of the newly formed American Third Position Party. As a revealing three-part series by KPFK programmer Gustavo Arellano in the OC Weekly has illustrated, the tenured academic regularly espouses anti-Semitic, anti-gay and anti-immigrant rhetoric in his work and public appearances. MacDonald joins the racist LA-based lawyer and disgraced former LA County judicial candidate William D. Johnson in comprising the leadership of the party. The Third Position Party\u2019s mission statement says that it exists \u201cto represent the political interests of White Americans.\u201d The party is currently trying to qualify as an official political party under California state law. Its website spells out its stances on major issues such as the economy and education. Under the section on immigration, the American Third Position Party cites safeguarding \u201cidentity\u201d and \u201cculture\u201d in calling for the deportation of all undocumented immigrants and a moratorium on all those seeking to come to the United States. MacDonald, whose role as director will reportedly be to advise and guide the party, has had a long history expressing views in line with the party\u2019s political program. The Southern Poverty Law Center\u2019s 2007 expose of the professor notes that he authored an anti-Semitic trilogy of books popular among neo-Nazi and white supremacist circles. <\/p>\n
