After being temporarily revived on Sunday, the Freedom Flotilla II to Gaza finally wrapped today when the Israeli Navy intercepted and seized the last boat. On Sunday the crew of the French yacht Dignit\u00e9 al-Karama, declared Alexandria, Egypt as their destination and was allowed to leave its Greek port. It changed course for Gaza once reaching international waters but was stopped north of Arish, Egypt. Yesterday, an Isreali Defense minister called the effort by the Dignite crew a \u201cprovocation,\u201d but also promised that security forces would not initiate a violent attack. Last year\u2019s Flotilla to Gaza ended when Israeli commandos boarded the Turkish ship, the Mavi Marmara, and killed 9 activists. There have been no reports yet on the incident from the arrested crew, but before being boarded they tweeted that three Israeli war ships had surrounded their yacht. Israel reported that no violence ensued, and that all international passengers would be immediately deported. Israeli activists on board, including the prominent journalist Amira Hass, will be held for questioning. The yacht carried 16 passengers, a mix of French citizens and an international delegation representing all participants in the Freedom Flotilla II. <\/p>\n
