Influential playwright and author Cherrie Moraga has said of this book, \u201cIn these pages, La Chicana emerges from historical erasure as spirit-warrior, artist, and revolucioniara.\u201d The 83 year old Elizabeth \u201cBetita\u201d Martinez has been participating in movements for social justice since the early 1950\u2019s as a Chicana feminist, activist, scholar and author of numerous books.
