The film follows David Kato\u2019s fight against Uganda\u2019s homophobic laws and his struggle for the rights of the LGBT community. Call Me Kuchu was filmed when the Anti-Homosexuality Bill was first introduced \u2013 a bill that gained steam from newspaper headlines calling for the hanging of photographed gays, and that has been linked to American evangelical organizations.
