Taking a global view of how water has been commodified, \u201cFlow\u201d is as comprehensive in its reach as it is in its analysis. The world\u2019s water supply is increasingly being taken for granted while corporations are rapidly privatizing it. Water has become a $400 billion dollar industry worldwide trailing only electricity and oil. However, the construction of dams displaces hundreds of thousands of people while non-sanitized water kills more people through disease than guns through war. Featuring interviews with activists and scientists such as Vandana Shiva, Maude Barlow, and Jim Schultz, Flow also looks at new technologies and solutions that hold promise for reversing our current perilous path.
