{"id":33080,"date":"2012-12-13T13:35:18","date_gmt":"2012-12-13T20:35:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uprisingradio.org\/home\/?p=33080"},"modified":"2012-12-13T13:35:18","modified_gmt":"2012-12-13T20:35:18","slug":"guardian-boehner-appears-to-ease-opposition-to-raising-taxes-on-the-wealthy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uprisingradio.org\/home\/2012\/12\/13\/guardian-boehner-appears-to-ease-opposition-to-raising-taxes-on-the-wealthy\/","title":{"rendered":"Guardian: Boehner appears to ease opposition to raising taxes on the wealthy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>House speaker John Boehner has left open the door for a quick bill that would halt tax increases for the vast majority of Americans on January 1.<\/p>\n<p>Boehner twice ducked questions from reporters during a press conference on Capitol Hill on Thursday about whether he was prepared to allow a vote on a bill that would see the top 2% of the country&#8217;s richest face tax rises but exempt the remaining 98%.<\/p>\n<p>With just over two weeks left until the country goes over the so-called fiscal cliff, the House or Representatives broke up until next week with no deal in place.
