As iPhone fanatics salivate at the prospect of owning a brand new model of their favorite smart phone, a new report by the group China Labor Watch based on a secret investigation has revealed that the iPhone 5C is being manufactured under harsh working conditions. Workers at the Jabil factory in China have to sign secrecy documents, are paid so little they have to work 100 hours of overtime a month to make average pay, and sometimes sleep 8 people to one dorm room. Speaking of harsh working conditions, here in the US, Walmart workers, sick and tired of low pay and of retaliation for labor organizing, protested in 15 different cities around the country yesterday.
