Because they are already at greater risk of suffering from malnutrition and other health problems as well as migration and its related risks, children will form the most vulnerable populations affected by the devastating impact of global warming. It is a factor rarely taken into account. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/environment\/2013\/09\/children-climate-change-impact-study \">Click here<\/a> for a Mother Jones article about the story. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh, a country prone to flooding and at greater than average risk from climate change, is also home to millions of garment workers who make clothing for Western companies in terrible working conditions. Today is the 4th day of on-going marches and protests by garment workers which shut down hundreds of factories. These protests come just months after a devastating accident with the Rana Plaza factory collapsing earlier this year killing more than a 1000 factory workers. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/2013-09-23\/two-hundred-bangladesh-factories-shut-on-labor-unrest.html\">Click here<\/a> for a Bloomberg article about the story. <\/p>\n<p>A New York professor was badly beaten by a group of people in what is being considered a possible hate crime.
