At last week\u2019s UN General Assembly meeting, Kerry affirmed that he was seeking a final solution to the conflict, not an interim one. <\/p>\n<p>Any examination of the disagreements between the occupier and the occupied in a war that has lasted decades can be a depressing exercise.
