Ciancia, the alleged shooter, who apparently targeted TSA workers, wore military fatigues and used an M&P rifle. He is reported to have left a note calling himself a \u201cpatriot\u201d and TSA workers, \u201ctraitors.\u201d Ciancia may be part of a right wing movement driven by conspiracy theories about government encroachment. His ability to bring a rifle into a busy airport like LAX was made easier, according to Think Progress, by the lobbying efforts of the NRA. A leaked White House memo from David Cutler, a senior healthcare advisor to President Obama, is likely to provide more fodder for Republican criticism of the rollout of Obamacare. CBS News, which obtained the memo, quoted Cutler who said three years ago, \u201cI do not believe the relevant members of the administration understand the president’s vision or have the capability to carry it out.\u201d Now, even high ranking Democrats are taking pause. California Senator Dianne Feinstein has said she told the White House it \u201cought to take down the website until it was right.\u201d The memo comes on the heels of revelations that many middle class Americans whose insurance plans were dropped by their employers found comparable plans on the health insurance exchanges at much higher prices. Deposed President Mohammad Morsi was set to go on trial in military-administered Egypt today. Among the charges he faced was the killing of protesters on his watch. Morsi had been kept in detention until today when he was finally seen in public for the first time since his ouster in July. He quickly rejected the authority of the court trying him. The trial has now been postponed until early January. Morsi\u2019s supporters in the Muslim Brotherhood had warned they would protest the trial.
