As new revelations of government overreach continue to emerge from the trove of NSA documents leaked by Edward Snowden it is difficult to anticipate what previously sanctified protections we took for granted have been newly violated. This week we learned that it\u2019s not just the NSA but even the CIA and the private telecommunications company AT&T are involved. Government officials told the New York Times that the CIA pays $10 million of our tax dollars to AT&T in exchange for information on its US customer base. <\/p>\n
