A video of the shooting by officer Jason Van Dyke was recently released, a year after the actual killing. Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel asked Superintendent Garry McCarthy for his resignation on Tuesday morning, citing &#8220;the undeniable fact that the public trust in the leadership of the department has been shaken and eroded.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>But Mayor Emanuel is not free from guilt either.
