On December 8th, 1980, the former member of the Beatles was pronounced dead on arrival after sustaining four gun shot wounds just outside of his New York home. Chapman\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s actions robbed the music world of one of its most influential artists whose humanist anthems included, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Working Class Hero,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Imagine,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Give Peace a Chance.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d In addition to his songs, Lennon used his standing as a popular musician to advance social causes he believed in. He spoke out against the Vietnam War and criticized President Nixon. Tricky Dick responded by issuing a deportation order for the British born Lennon.
