Because Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is now considered a serious candidate by the punditocracy, and because Hillary Clinton has pushed back hard against his desire for a Medicare-for-All system, we are once more discussing an issue that had been submerged by the passage of the Affordable Care Act. <\/p>\n<p>In a nutshell, Sanders sees the ACA as simply not good enough. And he&#8217;s right &#8211; millions of Americans remain uninsured as even the plans they are now eligible for under the new law are unaffordable. On the other hand, Clinton, who has decided to paint her candidacy as a continuation of the Obama administration, has asserted that it would be hard enough to preserve Obamacare, let alone fight for Single Payer.
