But two years ago, the City of Los Angeles sold the land back to developer Ralph Horwitz to build more warehouses in the community.  The farmers fought in court, retaining one of the top civil rights lawyers in the country, but still lost in court.  This week, the eviction proceedings have been put in place to remove the farmers from the land and make way for the developer to replace the farm with the warehouses.
