According to the Financial Times, he sketched out a future strategy &#8220;that did not appear markedly different from the past.&#8221; Bush also said yesterday that he had a message for the so-called enemy: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bet on American politics forcing my hand because it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not going to happen. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to make decisions not based upon politics, but based upon what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best for the United States of America.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d By American politics, he presumably meant the unpopularity of the war here in the US.
