{"id":6270,"date":"2009-03-09T13:21:54","date_gmt":"2009-03-09T20:21:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uprisingradio.org\/home\/?p=6270"},"modified":"2009-03-09T13:21:54","modified_gmt":"2009-03-09T20:21:54","slug":"uprising-is-looking-for-a-new-intern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uprisingradio.org\/home\/2009\/03\/09\/uprising-is-looking-for-a-new-intern\/","title":{"rendered":"Uprising is Looking for a New Intern!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re looking for a new volunteer intern to help out on the show.<\/p>\n<p>Students of political science, history, journalism, and media studies are encouraged to apply!<\/p>\n<p>Please contact us if you: <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; are able to come into KPFK&#8217;s North Hollywood studio at least 2 days a week, 9 am &#8211; 2 pm for a minimum of 10 weeks.<br \/>\n&#8211; are interested in research, writing, and audio editing<br \/>\n&#8211; have a basic understanding of local and international politics<br \/>\n&#8211; are very familiar with computers and internet research<\/p>\n<p>What you can expect: <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; access to computer and recording facilities.<br \/>\n&#8211; working in an intense, exciting, deadline-oriented atmosphere.<br \/>\n&#8211; training in writing, research, developing story ideas, editing audio, and recording.<br \/>\n&#8211; Employment and university recommendation letters.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately there are no stipends for internships. <\/p>\n<p>Send us a note at <a href=\"mailto:mail@uprisingradio.org\">mail@uprisingradio.org<\/a> if you are interested in an internship.
