Many analysts perceive the Governor\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s move as an attempt to curry support from democratic and independent voters for the upcoming election. Independent voters, who currently comprise 23% of all registered voters in California, are likely to play a determining factor in who prevails in this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s governor race. Numbering 3.6 million in California, independent voters are the fastest growing political force in the United States. IndependentVoice.org, an organization that sees a vast political potential in independents, is launching a new campaign challenging all gubernatorial candidates to endorse an agenda of independent minded political reform.
