New Report Exposes How LA Funnels Hundreds of Millions to Wall Street
The Fix LA Coalition has found that in 2013, despite its crippling financial problems, the city of Los Angeles paid a startling $204 million in fees to Wall Street banks – more than it did to repair streets. The disturbing report is entitled No Small Fees: LA Spends More on Wall Street than Our Streets.
The report’s author Lisa Cody, Research Analyst with SEIU Local 721 spoke recently with Uprising host Sonali Kolhatkar about it.
