GUEST: Dr Trita Parsi, author of “Treacherous Alliance: The Secret Dealings of Israel, Iran, and the United States”

Dr. Trita Parsi was born in Iran and grew up in Sweden. He earned his Masters Degree in International Relations and Economics in Sweden, and a PhD in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University. He is co-founder and current President of the National Iranian American Council.

Dr. Parsi’s newest book from Yale University Press is titled, “Treacherous Alliance - The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel and the United States.” Dr. Parsi analysis reveals that Israel and Iran (and for that matter the U.S.) have more of a symbiotic relationship and benefit from mutual coexistence than the rhetoric of annihilation and war.In writing “Treacherous Alliance,” he traveled extensively, conducting more than 130 interviews with senior Israeli, Iranian and American officials in all three countries.

Dr. Parsi spoke on the topic of his book, “Treacherous Alliance - The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel and the United States” on the campus of UCLA. Special Thanks to Global Voices for Justice for bringing us this recording.

    Excellent show! It just so happened that I had just read his book - an eyeopening book, let me tell you. It reveals the truth about Israel and Iran’s enmity - and why America has to be careful not to get entangled into a n unnecessary war.
