GUESTS: Laura Palomares founder of El Puente, Quincy McCrary, singer/songwriter and music coordinator of Antimall

For the past several years, conscious consumers have been forgoing the mall to spend their holiday dollars at the annual Antimall. Antimall is a project of El Puente, a collective that works on economic justice in local communities. The idea behind Antimall is to enable people of conscience to “recycle” their money by investing it local artists, cooperatives and independent businesses that a committed to social justice. This year’s Antimall also features live music and food vendors. It takes place on Sunday December 16th from 11 am to 4 pm at La Culebra Park in Highland Park, 240 Ave 57.

There will also be an Antimall after party at 9 pm at 2nd Street Jazz, 366 E 2nd Street, with Quincy McCrary and others performing.
