GUEST: April Fitzsimmons, former Air Force Intelligence Analyst

Returning to the stage, the critically acclaimed one-woman play, “The Need to Know,” focuses on the life of former Air Force Intelligence Analyst April Fitzsimmons and her coming of age. Appearing as herself, Fitzsimmons’ drama recounts her experiences as a young girl who enlisted in the Air Force. Believing that her enlistment would make a difference, Fitzsimmons searches for truth amid deception, lies, and government secrets. Directed by Steven Anderson, “The Need to Know,” is a mixture of humor and dread as Fitzsimmons recounts her journey through a Montana jail, to the United States Air Force, and finally outside President Bush’s Crawford, Texas ranch. April Fitzsimmons was awarded, “Best Solo Performer,” in the 2004 LA Weekly Theatre Awards. “The Need to Know,” will be performing every Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Sidewalk Studio Theatre in Burbank.
