US’s “Operation Swarmer” in Iraq

George Bush has a strange way of commemorating the third anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. While tens of thousands of people around the world protested the on-going US occupation of Iraq, the White House has stepped up it’s terror-tactics with a new offensive – Operation Swarmer. It is being dubbed “the largest air assault since 2003.†US forces are sweeping through villages in Northern Iraq but some say that the operation was nothing more than a photo-op. No resistance or casualties were reported and about 40 suspects were detained. Meanwhile, the participation of the Iraqi army in Operation Swarmer is being high-lighted by the US military and major media.
