GUEST: Professor Alexandro Gradilla of Cal State Fullerton

In Santa Ana, fifty students will face disciplinary action for joining the April 10th march and rally for immigrant rights. The rally took place at noon, during school hours. The students were rounded up from the rally and returned by van to Villa Fundamental Intermediate School to resume class or be handed over to their parents. Student activism continues in Orange County where over 5,000 students walked out of their schools on March 27th to protest HR4437. But it’s not just walkouts that are being organized. Tonight, there will be a Student Forum at Cal State Fullerton for Orange County high school students and their parents.

The Student forum will be held on the Cal State Fullerton campus, at Room: 130 North Pollak Library, from 6-8 pm. Cal State Fullerton is located at 800 N. State College in Fullerton. For more information, call 714-278-4210, or email agradilla@fullerton.edu.

Sonali’s Subversive Thought for the Day:

“It is important that students bring a certain ragamuffin, barefoot, irreverence to their studies; they are not here to worship what is known, but to question it” – Jacob Chanowski.
