Right Wing Attacks LA Charter School

Yesterday, Marcos Aguilar, the Principal of Academia Semillas del Pueblo, a charter school in El Sereno, declared that neither he nor any of his staff were involved in last week’s alleged assault of a KABC reporter. Sandy Wells, a reporter for “McIntyre in the Morning,†visited the school without permission last Thursday and claims he was assaulted. For the past month, Doug McIntyre’s show on KABC has been focusing on the charter school claiming that it practices separatism. Last Friday, Academia Semillas del Pueblo evacuated its premises after a person called and left a racist bomb threat message. In spite of McIntyre’s claims about the school’s supposed separatism, observers from the Los Angeles School District have cleared the charter school of discriminatory practices.

On Thursday Oct12,06 I watched a show called Aqui y Ahora that ran the story on Semillas del Pueblo.Doug McIntyre is a Racist Bigot that is threatend by what he doesn’t understand.I’m sure if he knew better,he might do better.There is no dought in my mind that he was taught hatred at a young age.I’m a Chicana born and raised on the west coast.I will never forget the slave labor that I experienced in the 1970’s. My grandparents would take my sister and I to work the fields of Winters,CA that is near Sacramento,CA.AT six years old I knew what was going on. The farmers had the contractors do most of the explotation for them. People would come to work from May until October.We all lived in a labor camp that was too small to house the large family’s that lived there.The Farmworkers worked 10+ hours in the hot sun.They were told that they would get paid on a certain day,the day would come and instead of getting paid immagration officals would take them away and deport them.For decades slave labor has made corporations rich.Most americans are deaf,dumb and blind,they accept everything that is fed to them.This country was built by slave labor.Those that choose to be ignorant are the decay of the world and an example of how we should’nt be.Public schools do not teach children the true history of the world and much less about their culture and world cultures.I went to public schools and have had to re-educate myself.I wish that there were more schools like Semillas del Pueblo.There are various culture centered schools in the U.S that represent every race.Semillas del Pueblo has been targeted because, our NATIVE PEOPLES are returning back to the land of our ANCESTORS.Stay strong Mentally,Physically and Spiritually!!!
