Counter Protestors Brutalized by LAPD

On Saturday July 8th, members of anti-immigrant groups including The Minuteman Project gathered on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue for a march and rally. They were outnumbered by hundreds of counter-demonstrators who assembled to denounce the march and rally. After nearly two hours of peaceful protests, Los Angeles Police Department Officers began arresting and brutalizing several counter protestors while Minute Man supporters cheered on. A video of the police brutality was taken by one anti-immigrant activists and has been reposted on la.indymedia.org.
