In addition to regressive policies aimed at undocumented immigrants, the Bush Administration is also continuing to make the arduous process towards naturalization even more difficult. Currently the Uniteed States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) plans to increase the current $400 fee, add a revised naturalization exam, and an online application for citizenship. According to USCIS over 600,000 people applied for citizenship last year.
