GUEST: Carla Garapedian, filmmaker of Screamers
“Screamers†is the title of a new documentary film by Carla Garapedian that features all-Armenian rock band System of a Down and explores the 1915 Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Through interviews with Pulitzer Prize winner Samantha Power, and genocide survivors such as System lead singer Serj Tankian’s 96 year old grandfather, the film traces the issues surrounding the Armenian Genocide and the denial of its occurrence. Carla Garapedian profiles the Grammy-award winning band’s activism on behalf of the recognition cause of the Armenian Genocide while interweaving concert footage of performances of their best known songs. After ninety-one years, the government of Turkey, as well as the United States, has continued in its refusal to recognize the Armenian Genocide. The film goes on to link the Armenian Genocide and its non-recognition by various nations to other genocides, such as Rwanda, that have occurred throughout the 20th century. Brining the discussion to the present in Darfur, Sudan, “Screamers,†challenges audiences to become active in stopping genocide wherever and whenever occurs.

Hi,
What about the 521,000 innocent Turks murdered in cold blood in 1915, by the Armenians? how come the perpetrators are now called the genocide victims ? for some of the truth please visit http://www.tallarmeniantale.com . The best course of action in this instance is to obtain independent information rather than the Armenian propaganda.
Furthermore, the Armenians have been shying away from a public debate on this subject, so what are they afraid of?
Kind regards

So called Armenian genocide was resolved by British Tribunal in Malta in 1921, concluded that there ws no evidence of genocide. There are ample archives that contradict Armenian fantasy. They have to accept
their colaboration with the enemy agains their own government during WW1 and prior the war. More Turks were killed in the hands of Armenians. Enough of the Armenian lies.
I am disgusted by the armenian hate campign. All they are achieving is creating hatred amongst liberal thinking Turks against the armenians.
Ultra nationalist are loving it
This whole argument is based on intentionally created false information. Poor new Armenian generation will suffer from this brainwashing of their evil lobbly for long time. Genocide in Anatolia was only done to muslim Turks and Armenians are as responsible for this as French, Italian and British governments… Basically this documentary(wo/ document) is only as accurate as Bush’s Iraq policy.
NO LIES TO STEAL LAND AND MONEY…
Thank you for this program. It was empowering and an important contribution in the long battle being fought for recognition of the Armenian genocide.
Thr suffering of both Armenians and Turks in 1915is so politicized that it isan insult to thememory of both peoples. To day 70,000 Armenians live in Turkey in peace and prosperity-escaping from the shrinking Armenia. The hate obsessed diaspora of United States and Europe are doing so much damage intheir “genocide” fixated propaganda that thehealing process cannot take place.Shame on the “genocide” peddlers!~
