65th Anniversary of Japanese Internment Executive Order

| the entire program

GUEST: Alan Mischou, Founding member of Nikkei for Civil Rights and Redress

As the 65th anniversary of executive order 9066, which lead to Japanese internment, approaches, the question of internment and who is an “enemy” and who is a citizen is just as pertinent today under the war on terror as it was in the question of Japanese internment under World War II. Executive order 9066 was signed on February 19th, 1942 and deprived over 120,000 people of their constitutional rights to due process.
