Adopt-A-Tape from the Pacifica Radio Archives
| the entire program
GUEST: Brian De Shazor, Director of the Pacifica Radio Archives
We turn next to an update from the Pacifica Radio Archives, considered by historians and scholars to be one of the oldest and most important audio collections in the world. The Pacifica Radio Archives have chronicled the political, cultural and artistic movements of the second half of the 20th century via Pacifica radio programs like documentaries, performances, discussions, debates, drama, poetry readings, commentaries and radio arts. They are in the process of preserving reels and transferring them to digital format through their Adopt-a-Tape project. I spoke yesterday with Brian De Shazor, the Director of the Pacifica Radio Archives.
