jigsaw nationGUESTS: Rob Kaplowitz, Associate Artistic Director of Relentless Theatre Company, Kittson O’Neill and Tom Lenoci, actors

Jigsaw Nation is a new traveling theater piece by the Relentless Theater Company which seeks answers to the question, “What does American mean to you?” The theater piece is based on man-on-the-street interviews conducted by Gary Winter, Marjorie Louis, Malachy Walsh, Rob Kaplowitz, Olivia Honegger, Kittson O’Neill and Hayley Finn. Directed by Hayley Finn, the play is a documentation of the thoughts and feelings of a broad spectrum of Americans. Relentless Theater company specializes the show by spending a few weeks before the opening by conducting new interviews within that community where the play will be staged. Local actors from the community are also incorporated into the play. According to The New York Sun, “Jigsaw Nation draws its considerable power from the startling immediacy of real people’s speech. As the five simply dressed actors turn from veteran to teenage, immigrant to red stater, the script’s uncanny ability to deliver the original voices intact makers the characters crackle with life.”

Jigsaw Nation is playing on Friday, March 16 at 8 pm and Saturday March 17 at 8 pm at the South Coast Repertory, 655 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, CA 92626

Admission is FREE. Call (212) 340-1916 to make reservations. For more information, visit www.relentlesstheatre.com

This is a definite go see. I saw the NY version at the Fringe Festival and it was amazing. The acting was superb. The entire production really spoke to the group I was with and really created great conversation for the rest of the night. Don’t miss it.

I loved the notion of not knowing anyone who voted for Bush, and then the realization that they may not know 51% of the country.

I am really interested in the information that people of very different points of view approach a topic the same way, I am curious of how some one who is a boarder patrol person and a peace activist would look at the boarder.

    Really good radio!

    Thank you

Jigsaw Nation is a very captivating quest, into the bodies of of America (American). the beauty of “Jigsaw” is that it is boundless, meaning it explores many characteristics of America. it is not not one side, it’s a clear and a mutual representation of America (American.

What i do not realize is in truth how you’re not actually a lot more neatly-appreciated than you might be right now. You are very intelligent. You realize therefore considerably when it comes to this matter, produced me individually imagine it from a lot of varied angles. Its like men and women don’t seem to be interested until it is one thing to accomplish with Girl gaga! Your own stuffs excellent. All the time handle it up!
