Pictures in My Head
| the entire program
Pictures in my Head is the name of an art exhibit currently showing at Carlotta’s Passion Fine Art in Eagle Rock, featuring several dozen paintings and works of art by Mark Bryan, with the theme of ridiculing today’s political figures like Bush, Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld, and in general commenting on the dark times we live in. “The Mad Tea Party,” a large oil on canvas, is a good example of Bryan’s art: A grimacing Dick Cheney is placing a large knife into the hands of a child-like George W Bush, preparing to cut into a large round cake iced with the map of the world. Around them sit ghost-like figures of Rumsfeld and Rice, Alice in Wonderland, the Three Little Pigs, and the Mad Hatter.
Mark Bryan’s exhibit, Pictures in My Head is showing at Carlotta’s Passion Fine Art through April 1st. Carlotta’s Passion is located at 2012 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041.
There will also be an event this Saturday March 17th from 8-9 pm with Mark Bryan and Garry Eister’s “The Screaming Bunny” Performance.
