Fighting for Trans-rights

| the entire program

Transgender Law CenterGUESTS: Ed Varga, FTM Alliance of LA, Bamby Salcedo, Program Manager, Transgeneros Unidas

This coming weekend, hundreds of transgender community leaders and activists from around California will converge on the University of Southern California campus to plan strategies for furthering transgender rights. The gathering is the second annual California Transgender Leadership Summit. As this is one of the few events of its kind in the US, response has been so strong that online registration for the summit was closed in February. Dozens of presenters will address the participants on the state of the transgender rights movement today, the goals of the movement, and ideas about how to transform California into a state where everyone can fully participate, regardless of their gender identity.

NOTE: The summit organizers have decided to open up registration to everyone. This is a free event. If you are not registered, you can show up at the registration table at the Topping Student Center, USC on Friday March 23rd at 6:30 pm.
