Mission AccomplishedGUESTS: Christopher Sprinkle, story producer with Brave New Films, Robert Greenwald, filmmaker

Four years ago to this day, President George W. Bush boarded the USS Abraham Lincoln off the coast of San Diego and proclaimed “Mission Accomplished” in Iraq. Bush’s declaration was intended to signal the end of major combat operations in Iraq. And yet, today the war continues unabated with hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and thousands of US soldiers dead in the past four years. In “commemoration” of the president’s speech, Brave New Films has released a short film on the Internet. Brave New Films specializes in producing media to stimulate social change and they have released films such as Outfoxed and Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price. Their latest release featuring spoken word poet, Steve Connell, highlights the misdirection and incompetence of the Bush administration in carrying out the War on Terror globally.
