A Guide to California’s February Ballot
| the entire program
GUEST: Kim Alexander, Founder and President of California Voter Foundation
This February, aside from picking their favorite Presidential nominee, California voters will get to vote on seven state-wide ballot measures. This election’s set of measures is significantly simpler than recent ones, and features propositions on motor vehicle fuel sales and taxes, state funding for school districts and community colleges, legislative term limits, and Indian gaming agreements. Propositions 94-97 in particular, which are the measures focusing on tribal gaming compacts between the State and various American Indian tribes, have garnered the most attention. To date tens of millions of dollars have been spent campaigning for or against these four measures.
