GUEST: Bill Santiago, stand-up comedian and author of “Pardon My Spanglish ¡Porque! Because! One Man’s Guide to Speaking the Habla”

Stand up comedian Bill Santiago has a new book out called Pardon My Spanglish ¡Porque! Because! One Man’s Guide to Speaking the Habla. The New York based Puerto Rican comic appeared earlier this month on Comedy Central for a special called Spanglish 101. Santiago turned his stand-up act about Spanglish into this new book to provoke “laughs for Latinos and the Latino-curious.” Santiago specializes in political satire and also writes for Mother Jones Magazine. He will be performing and launching his book this weekend at Casa 0101 in Boyle Heights. The shows start tonight and tomorrow night at 8 pm. Santiago will be joined by Rick Najera with his performance Daddy Diaries. I spoke yesterday with Bill Santiago about his book, Pardon My Spanglish.
