The Death of Che Guevara by Subversive Historian Gabriel San Roman

Forty-one years ago on this day in people’s history, Argentine born revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara was killed in Bolivia. On October 9th, 1967, with orders coming from President Rene Barrientos, Guevara was executed in a schoolhouse in La Higuera by Bolivian army sergeant Mario Teran. The guerrilla leader had been captured the day before effectively ending his attempt to foment armed revolution in the South American nation. Guevara’s body was later flown to Vallegrande to be displayed for photographers and buried in an unmarked grave there afterwards. It wasn’t until 1997 that author Jon Lee Anderson discovered the location of Guevara’s skeletal remains which were then flown back to Cuba.

The symbolism of Comandante Che continues to inspire many across the world including Evo Morales, the current president of Bolivia the land where Guevara met his death, but not in vain.

For Uprising, this is your truth professa’ saying it’s no mystery why they conceal our history!
