Republicans for ObamaThis week’s election results represented a huge victory for the Democratic Party, not just in terms of the Presidency, but elected representatives who won big in both houses, and also in terms of huge numbers of newly registered voters. Karl Rove’s dream of a permanent Republican majority seems to have evaporated. Interestingly enough, Obama won big among independents, but many Republicans, disgusted with the Bush administration, and fearing more of the same from McCain, also voted for Obama. So much so, that an organization called Republicans for Obama was formed, with some of its members actively organizing with the Obama campaign. Who are these Americans? Why did they vote for Obama and what do they expect from him? And what is the future of the Republican Party?

GUEST: John Martin, Director of Republicans for Obama. For more information. Visit www.republicansforobama.org.
