The fourth annual Boyle Heights Latina Film Extravaganza will take place this weekend from December 12th through the 14th. Once again the film festival will serve as a platform bringing together Latinas from various communities throughout the United States. A wide array of films will be screened during the three-day weekend event including documentaries, comedy shorts, and a feature length presentation. Highlights include Alondra Smiles by Conchita Villa, and a question and answer session with Josefina Lopez and others surrounding submissions on the issue of the Bracero Program. There will be prizes awarded at the conclusion of the Boyle Heights Latina Film Extravaganza in various categories.
