Celebrating Black History: Cornel West On Black Leadership
We spend the last part of our program today asking for your support as we’ve just kicked off KPFK’s Winter pledge drive. Today we’re featuring one of my favorite speakers, acclaimed intellectual Cornel West, whose voice and words are preserved in the Pacifica Radio Archives and stored on a fully loaded USB memory stick as part of 60 hours of programming put together by the Archives featuring the best of Black audio History and the best of Egypt revolution coverage.
KPFK’s Winter funddrive has kicked off on Tuesday February 15th. We’re proud to offer PKFK’s listener sponsors an incredible and unique gift: a 4G USB memory stick loaded up with 30 hours of black history programming from the Pacifica Radio Archives, as well as 30 hours of Pacifica’s historic and current coverage of Egypt. The memory stick is available for a pledge of $150 at 818-985-5735 or at www.kpfk.org.
We want to know why you support KPFK. Tell us in the comments section below and we’ll read out the best responses on the air!
