BEIJING: Four young Tibetans have set fire to themselves in restive areas of China while hundreds of students protested against the government, exiles and rights groups say.
The self-immolations were the latest of at least 20 similar protests this month and more than 80 over the past two years.
Kunchok Tsering, 18, died after he set fire to himself in Xiahe, or Labrang, county in the western province of Gansu, the London group Free Tibet said.

In the first time in the history of Walmart, store workers or associates went on strike around the United States in an attempt to better their working conditions. Protests were held in 46 states, with the largest turnout at the Paramount California Walmart which had over 1,000 demonstrators.

The United States Supreme Court today reopened a lawsuit brought by Liberty University against the Affordable Care Act, on the grounds of the law’s individual mandate. The lawsuit had earlier been dismissed by the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals on technical grounds. According to Liberty University, the mandate violates religious freedom.
