Australia announced a weakening of its carbon tax. And Canada lauded Australia’s decision, urging other countries to do the same.
The group of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) has submitted their request for funding for climate resilience and adaptation – a point of major contention.
The Philippines climate delegate Yeb Saño, who had publicly announced a hunger strike last week is keeping his pledge to fast until tangible progress is made. Meanwhile towns and cities in the US Midwest were devastated by a string of deadly storms over the weekend.
