Film Maker John Ennis Discusses His New Doc, Pay2Play

A new documentary by John Wellington Ennis boldly makes the case that the US political system is a game rigged by the rich to benefit the rich. Featuring such experts as Noam Chomsky, Van Jones, John Nichols, Robert Reich, and even the insider Jack Abramoff, the documentary captures the popular discontent that is fueling activism to reform campaign financing in the wake of the Citizens United and McCutcheon Supreme Court rulings.

John Wellington Ennis is the Writer, Director, and Producer of Pay2Play and spoke recently with Uprising host Sonali Kolhatkar about his film. Watch a video of the interview here:

Where so often what becomes needed on the side of any truthful debate, especially when arguing about monetary and social inequalities…, is a visual testimony such as John Ennis’s rather thorough and concise illustration of what the middle class is up against in our ever devolving set of systems and institutions.

Welcome to our Oligarchy where what ultimately extrudes out the back side is everything from poverty, inequality, injustice, endless war economy and generally the nightmare 99% of us can’t avoid because the biggest money and power is buying democracy out from underneath our Constitutional governances.
