The mid-term elections are exactly one week away and Democrats, who currently have a razor-thin majority in the Senate, have the most to lose. If the GOP wins a Senate majority and retains their House majority, we will have a Congress dominated by conservatives. Their financial benefactors are doing everything they can to make that happen.

The Supreme Court’s Citizen’s United decision unleashed a torrent of cash that has increased rapidly, election to election. The Brennan Center for Justice recently released a report examining nine competitive Senate races taking place on November 4th and the money coming to them from outside groups, many of which do not disclose their donors. Some of these so-called dark-money groups are devoted to electing a single candidate. Others, a single party.

GUEST: Ian Vandewalker, author of the report and counsel for the Brennan Center for Justice’s Democracy Program.
